I have a little something to get off my chest. It might clear up a puzzle for some of the artists who frequent my page. I would really appreciate it if you would bear with me as I explain a few things.
When I first joined Deviant Art, I was totally new to the concept of having an online account. I didn't feel safe at all. I worried about hackers, people getting my personal information, and my family discovering my page. To try and prevent any of those things from happening, I took many precautions.
You may be wondering why it would be a bad thing if my family knew about my account. Well, when I first got my account, my parents probably would have set many rules and maybe even monitored my activity. I didn't want my parents involved in any way. This was my first step into the world on my own.
That was a year ago and many things have changed since then. If they found out, now, I don't think it would present many (if any) problems. I'm an adult. I'm free. It's a relief not to have to worry all the time!
One of the precautions I took to protect my privacy was not using my actual last name. I figured that my family wouldn't be able to find me with an internet search engine, that way. Thankfully, that risky time is passed and I can now be honest with you guys!
My last name is really Young! It's very liberating to be able to display it proudly on my page.
Thanks for reading!

Vincent Van Gogh
One of the reasons why I like Doctor Who is because it makes history come to life. Seemingly ancient people are portrayed in living, breathing color and, though there is a lot of fiction involved, it still makes history more interesting. Doctor Who challenges me to examine famous events more closely, analyzing them, and thinking through the "what if's". There is more to this world's history than the dates and facts recorded in little school textbooks.
One of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who is the one with Vincent Van Gogh. I did a little Internet research on Van Gogh and he is portrayed pretty accurately in the episode. As an artist, I ca
Popstar Debut
Hello, everyone and happy New Year---both the Western New Year and the Chinese New Year! I would like to make it a point to write more frequent and more interesting journal entries, this year, instead of just jabbering on about how I have too little time to draw. From now on, I would like to share fun stories or inspirational concepts.
First of all, I have an exciting story to tell! Last week, the college I go to hosted an Open Mic Night. On a whim, I signed up for it, thinking it would be the perfect opportunity debut my musical talent. I made an instrumental track and spent an entire week practicing a song to perform. I asked the students
Boo!
Since I started my second year of college, back in September, I haven't been as active on DA. It saddens me a little that I can't turn out a new drawing every couple weeks or go on trips to neat photography locations. I just don't have the time. Thankfully, I saved up some artwork over the summer that I will continue to submit throughout the rest of the year. Hopefully, that will tide me over until the holiday season is over.
Currently, most of my free time outside of school is taken up by Halloween preparations. This year, I have decided to cosplay as Katarina, The Sinister Blade, from League of Legends! More specifically, I will be cosplay
2015 Photo Contest Results
The turn out was great, this year, with more entries than ever before---partically due to the fact that my mum did the promotions. My mum's flyers ended up bringing in several professional photographers. Apparently, people had thought in previous years that the photo contest was only for 4-H members, so they didn't enter. That wasn't the case, this go 'round!
Out of the three photos that I entered, only one of them earned anything. I got a lovely green Honorable Mention ribbon for this picture!
I didn't do as well as I had hoped, but I'll try again, next year!
